MAC FTM 2017 - cannot get internet connection to Ancestry.com

First: I created and have uploaded successfully my MAC GEDCOM from FTM2017 into Ancestry.com using my Ancestry userid/pwsd via FireFox internet.

Second: stayed into Ancestry . Swapped back over to my Mac app "FTM2017", using Ancestory icon, log into Ancestry.com successfully. Then, using the FTM2017 app and select "download from Ancestry..." this is the error message pop-up screen:

Family Tree Maker appears to be offline
- please check your internet connection and try again. For troubleshooting tips click the Learn More button.
<< the Learn More >> has no details related to FTM2017, it's all prior versions of FTM for MAC.

using MAC OS Sierra ver 10.12.6 and Internet provided is Firefox 55.0.3 (64-bit)

Thank you for any assistance that you can provide me with Mac FTM2017 making internet connection.
